To enroll in an Open Water Diver course or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must be at least 10 years old. You need adequate swimming skills and should be in good physical shape. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

The Program
The PADI or SSI Open Water course is a three-day program that mixes real diving with some interactive and fun classroom experience. Experienced and knowledgeable, our instructors are very good and will quickly set you at ease. Don´t worry if English isn´t your first language, we can teach in English, Spanish, French, Italian, and Korean!
Day 1
- 08:30 Meet at Scuba10. Fill out some quick paperwork and learn how to prepare your equipment.
- 10:00 Pool training with the instructor.
- 14:00 End of instruction for the day.
- Homework Read your new diver manual and have homework from chapters one, two, and three ready for the next day.
Day 2
- 11:30 Meet and Scuba10. Review homework and quizzes from Day 1.
- 12:30 Equipment preparation.
- 13:00 Two real ocean dives! These training dives will both be at a maximum depth of 12 meters, with 40 to 50 minutes of bottom time. You will dive from our boat at two amazing sites. You´ll see the Caribbean fish that live on our coral reef while practicing your new skills with your instructor.
- 16:00 End of instruction for the day.
- Homework Read your new diver manual and have homework from chapters four and five ready for the next day.
Day 3
- 11:00 Meet at Scuba10. Review homework and quizzes from Day 2, and take your final exam.
- 12:30 Equipment preparation.
- 13:00 Two more real ocean dives! Like Day 2, these training dives will both be at a maximum depth of 12 meters, with 40 to 50 minutes of bottom time. You will dive at two new reefs and do your last skills practice in the course.
- 16:00 End of instruction for the day.
- You will receive your PADI or SSI OPEN WATER certification!
