Today, 3 of the world’s longest underwater cave systems (cenotes) with a length of up to 129 km can be found at the Riviera Maya. One of them belongs to the most spectacular ones with 56 km – Dos Ojos (two eyes), describing the two circular shaped cenotes shining in daylight. Cenote diving Playa del Carmen

Respecting the Local Ecosystem
Throughout the peninsula, there can be found openings to underwater caves, called cenotes. These amazing sinkholes contain a wealth of animals that are fascinating to find and observe. The many varieties of birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and mammals that depend on these water sources, provide us with a precious and unique environment to study, play and enjoy. Scuba 10 takes strong measures to ensure that this delicate ecosystem is respected. The supreme challenge for our industry is how to manage, protect and preserve this very special environment.
